for those of you keeping up with the latest spoilers, what is your opinion on the latest surprise?
I won't even hint at it for those who've some how managed to not have it spoiled yet, but if you know what I'm referring to, I'm curious as to your opinion.

Statistically speaking, about one in twenty boxes of packs has a treasure inside. I don't see why they'd be in such high demand. I would be thrilled to open one, but the odds aren't good enough to make me buy extra packs.

This.
I mean, I've bought boxes hoping to get one or two of any given rare. M.Rares are bad enough, but this is just not worth changing your behavior for.

"This is just not worth changing your [purchasing] behavior for."

WORD.

Which is not to say I don't think it's cool as hell, and a long time coming. It's just, yeah, not a good enough deal to drive up box prices by $15 or whatever. I think they should do this for every set though. Just enough to keep vintage alive.

Let's hope that any influx of Epic rare cards will actually lead to a devaluation of them overall, and be contributory to bringing card values back into the realm of being "reasonably priced."

Totally agree that this is way too long of a time coming.

No slice of cardboard, for its content alone (not to say physical rarity, Alpha, rare misprint, etc.), should cost over $40? Can I get an "amen!?"

I don't think that's going to happen. There will be no huge influx, the cards are still legal only in their appropriate formats, and few of them are worth much $ anyway.

"Currently it is believe to be approximately 1 in 750 booster packs has such a card..." was from the article on:
http://www.mananation.com/zendikar-repacks-limited-play/

Even if we split the difference and say like 1 in every 350 packs, they are still rare as hell. One per 10 box case, not three treasures in every two boxes. WoTC would never give up Moxen that easily.

Six boxes to a case last I heard (maybe it changed?) but anyway, that's still...at 36 packs per box, if the boxes ran a more reasonable $80 per, that's $2.22 per pack, that's $1665 to reach a statistical likelihood of 1. That's not worth it for a Black Lotus, and what if you get a Fastbond, Balance, or other Not-Power-9? Geeze.

I've never bought a case of M:TG cards, just one box at a time.

Yes, but of all those special cards, how many will be Moxen? In the articles linked here, they only mention them, dual lands, and Candelabra of Tawnos. I assume there will be hundreds of out-of-print cards to give up. And how many of each? I must believe there will be more of the commons. Erg Raiders, anyone? Scryb Sprites? Legends was a huge set, and there were uninteresting legendary creatures at uncommon.

So what do you think your odds are, of getting a money card?

Can we assume they're all going to be good cards? And what sets? Alpha? Beta through Revised, Arabian Nights through... The Dark? Or could this be any card through... Eventide?

I read that there are 95 cards (probably many copies of each) that will be slipped into random packs.
