Ten odds and ends.

1) Yes, I reassert: the original Dungeon Masters Guide is my number one "comfort read," especially the version I have from my father with his highlighting.

2) "Mexican Radio" has been playing on my computer for almost eight hours straight. The Pixie Fierceness was disappointed that I turned it off to log in and check my mail.

3) My paycheck is almost decent from all the overtime, but I still need a second job to buy all the neat gaming stuff I want.

4) Apparently, the Pixie snuck out of her room during nap time in order to eat some chocolate (a gift for the non-cocoa-reactive from mythicsagefire and thor_cat.) She was found sitting in the closet with the evidence still sticky. Camera & grounding time, eh?

5) I need some advice from my book-reading friends. I will listen to advice from non-parents as I was one of those longer than not:

When I read, the Puddin' and the Pixie both get agitated and try to take my book because they see that (fairly accurately) as time I'm not spending with them. How can I share that time with them or keep them interested in reading? The Puddin' likes to tell me the story I'm reading ("There were lots of crazy, crazy monsters." "Why, yes, I _am_ reading an Anita Blake book...") as long as the book is away from me. Any suggestions?

6) My husband has decided the term for when you turn on the television and it's the same episode of the show you always see is, "Deja View." Now I need the term for when that expands...it used to just be Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons for me.

7) Day ten of the "diet" and I still fantasize about dancing croissants, and hot buttered biscuits.

8) Actually, these breath mint calcium gum things aren't too bad.

9) I need to make more icons, but I need to resist butterflies. Spiders with butterfly wings. There we go.

10) I bet arainbowcat doesn't remember what an Uruk-hai is. [grins]

bits, gaming, p&p
