Vanity and Vexation
So, ever read Ecclesiastes? If not, you probably should.
A lot of it will probably seem very familiar to you, and for good reason, though I do think it goes off the rails a bit towards the end. But up until then... I'd probably make it required reading for Civilized Humanity if I could. Think our modern problems are all too modern? There's nothing new under the sun.
I kind of wonder how those people who memorize the entire bible and study it every single day still manage to so completely avoid taking any of this bit (among many others) to heart...
