edelyse nicole
i ended up having to have c-section after about 12 hours of labour. edelyse nicole was born at 10:44 pm on monday 2/9/09. she weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces and was 21.5 inches long, she ended up in the nicu (neonatal intnsive care unit) at about 3am on tuesday becuse she had some amniotic fluid in her lungs and it was effecting her pulse oxygen level but she was fine by wednesday. we came home last thursday. she lost too much weight thefirst five days we were home; she went down gto 7 pounds five ounces. she is gaining weight nowthat i am supplementing with formula. she is two weeks old today. time is moving fast. no oneever told me how much you hurt after a c-section. i amm feeling way better nowbut the first week i could barely walk. even now it feels like everything is pulling sometimes and my stiches are burning because they are starting to dissolve. other than waking up every thrree hours to feed a baby and changing entirely too many poopy diapers, i haven't been doing much. i go back to work in another four weeks to four and a half weeks. if anyone wants to see pictures of the baby go tomy myspace page, username michelledillon, city east lynn, wv.
