Holy crap, an update!
Yeah, I know. It's been a while. Things have been hectic. I've been spending my time...doing nothing...for the past three weeks.
I still haven't started my new job, and it's driving me crazy. I haven't had a paycheck in 3 weeks. I'm lucky I didn't max out all my credit cards or else I'd really be in trouble now. 'Cept now I gotta pay all that stuff off once I start next week.
At least, I'm supposed to start next week. We'll see how that goes.
I guess I should explain this properly....
So Rob's been teaching at Dunkirk all year. He took a one-year sub position for a woman who JUST got tenure and took a year of paid leave. Well he's been doing all kinds of fantastic things with that music department, and all of the kids have been asking if he's going to be there next year. Well as of right now...he's not. The woman has spitefully decided that she wants to come back to DHS so Rob has to go job-hunting...AGAIN. The kids are going berzerk and are about ready to storm the board meetings. However, we're being told that the administration is 'working on it.' That's all they'll tell us. They want to keep him there, but in lieu of creating a whole new position (which they could do) I don't know what 'working on it' means. So now they're leaving him hanging while they figure out how and if he'll be teaching there again next year. In the meantime, there's not many jobs that have opened, so...yeah. Things should be interesting over the summer while they 'work on it.'
Should everything be okay and he DOES have a job next year, we have selected a wedding date of 07/07/07. It's later than our original date in June due to some conflicts with his family. But I don't want to get excited about a wedding just to have it taken away again. I don't see the big deal anyways, we're already practically married anyways, we just need the piece of paper to say so. *sigh*
I think that's probably enough for now. You all should now be able to see my new SN so IM me sometime...even if I have an away up, I'm usually around.
