Go 'Canes!
Had a great time watching Game 7 last night over at Kevin and Tony's place. Really glad that the disallowed goal at the end of the 1st period ended up not being a factor in the overall game. It was really cool to see all of the Hurricanes players and families celebrating on the home ice at the RBC Center.
On a side note, I'm happy that hockey is (for me) over for at least another 11 months. I developed a greater appreciation for the game over the past 2 weeks, and I even watched all but a few minutes of the Finals. However, I still would not say that I like the sport enough to watch when there's not a championship on the line for the Hurricanes. And, it's just as well, most of hockey season overlaps with more important sports seasons, like college football, NFL, and college basketball. So, in effect, I am admitting to being a fairweather Hurricanes fan.
