I lasted an hour. Then I held him. Thirty seconds later, he fell asleep. Argh.
The Kid is Big Time grounded. I'll save you the details, but suffice it to say it involved hide and seek with three-day-old lasagna that she told me she had eaten. So, punishment 1) for lying and asking for dessert - no dessert for a week; 2) for lying to Mommy - no TV for a week and straight to bed after dinner.
And I ended my night on a high note with both kids really, really pissed at me.
