attraction: necessary but not sufficient.

you figure with the number of online dates i've gone on, this must've happened to me once.
and it probably has, to a small degree. a little disparity, but not one i couldn't explain by angle, time, maybe even my assumptions.
and i probably should have been suspicious. listed as working in high-tech, but one, relatively fuzzy picture.
still. i was fairly sure i could tell what he looked like.
and i've never been more off.. i think hair color and shirt color were the only things with any resemblance.
why start a date that way? why lie? and to all of you guys who lie about your age.. enh. not impressed. (that being said, i've dated more than a few of them..)
i started the date with a little resentment, not attracted. it's a waste of time for both of us, yes?
brains, personality, heart. all necessary. but not sufficient.
but attraction is exactly the same way.
deception bad and inefficient.
and i no longer trust anyone with just one pic.
it's not like i don't always ask for more than one view on an xray. i don't think people's faces should be any different.
taking a hiatus tomorrow. very excited not to be on a date and in the gym with a good friend.. yay!
