As a kid I absolutely loved the 'Lion King'. The first time I saw it on the big screen I was mesmerized by the whole thing. The music is beautiful and the scenary created by the animators is breathtaking. When I watched the movie at home I used to pause it, just to look at the colors used. I found it remarkable that people actually created this whole world with a couple of colored pencils. There's no need for me to go into why I liked the story. A story about growing up, not fitting in and finally finding your true calling. Instant classic.
Now that I'm older, I appreciate it even more. I've watched both sequels - even though they're not as good - and the musical twice. The musical is superb! The thing with this film is that it's one that isn't age specific and transcends time. It's messages are for future generations as well, and I'm positive that I'm going to show it to my kids in the future.
