Comedy And Tragedy Always Go Hand In Hand...

:: The financial crisis Greece has been going through, reached it’s peak when the riots on Wednesday resulted in the death of three innocent people. Anarchists, teenagers and random people who just like violence lashed out on cars, houses and flocked outside banks breaking everything. They went as far as going inside banks and dragging mere employees outside, beating them. One of them, a young pregnant woman who gave into her wounds a couple of hours later. The insanity is indescribable. Yes, the government has screwed up. Yes, banks are responsible at large. But beating up innocent people who are just trying to make ends meat? That’s inexcusable.

:: I was thoroughly amused with Jon's coverage of the subject. Mainly because he expressed the exact same sentiments me and my mum had a couple of days earlier. His description was remnant of our own conversation. “Greece’s financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western Civilization…a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony, which is something they also invented!” Irony’s a bitch! I loved his simulation with Coke too! Daily Show Tech is awesome! WIN! And his quote “’Jesus, my head is bleeding!’ ‘Oh, here, put a hat on!’” The whole episode was perfect! And I lol’d at how he kept ripping the CNN guy with the ascot! The mariachi band singing Beyonce was also hilarious!

:: Well, the Pythons always knew this kind of crap was going to come along in the future. Come to think of it, there isn't a subject that they hadn’t predicted. Anyhoo. Here's the Money Song just to cheer us up in our current state of gloom. I mean, who doesn't feel better watching Eric singing and dancing on a table?!

:: Speaking of Python, I was very pleased to see a number of Pythonesque/Gilliamesque features in the opening titles of "The Coulbert Report British Election Couverage: The Race For Prime Minister, Governor!" I love how they added "u's" in the spelling to show the difference between the UK and US! Btw, anyone else having problems not being able to stop staring at the picture of Stephen wakeboarding?? Damn, that is one hot man!

:: This year's Webby Awards votes came to a close last week, and the winners were announced on Wednesday. Each year, the best designed and interesting websites are bestowed with this great honor. Guess which website won not one, but TWO Webby's this year! You bet your ass it was colbertnation.com! Both were in the television category, and one of them was a People's Choice Award! Stephen must be very giddy over this!

:: Last night's episode of "Community" was mind-blowingly awesome! It is such a great show! The only bad thing about it -if you can even call it bad- is that it leaves me with a feeling of envy and reverie, that my College's were never as cool as Greendale! The whole concept of having a paintball match in order to win registration priority was superb! As usual, Abed had some serious kick-ass moves! And of course his movie allusions were hilarious! I didn't like the whole Jeff/Britta thing first of all because I don't ship it and second of all because Britta annoys the hell outta me. Anyhoo. Senor Chang was fantastic with his epic gun! Here’s the promo for those of you who haven’t watched it!

:: So we had Colleen, Verna, Will Ferrell and Buzz Aldrin all in one episode! How great is that? I loved how Lutz’s mum was basically Lutz in a wig! Also, Colleen torturing Kenneth to the point where he forgets who he is was epic! Colleen should be in more epis! And another astronaut Mike Dexter reference! '30 Rock' rules all!
:: Did you really think I would end a post without some Data love?! Not gonna happen! I made some doodles yesterday and I'd like to share!
Here ya go!
