Why Do Network Execs Cancel Shows And Dub Themselves As A-Holes?!

I generally watch a fair amount of television. Usually shows that are still on the air. Of course I do have a soft spot for old British series ('Blackadder', 'Monty Python's Flying Circus', 'Fawlty Towers') but then again, who doesn't? I have been having a ST TNG marathon and have been very excited about it, but also found out about a show called 'Threshold' which aired in 2005 and guess what? It was canceled! Urgh! They only aired 13 epis and then canceled it! Why do networks do that??? Don't they think about the fans?? Granted, it wasn't an Emmy award winning show but the most important thing about it was that Brent Spiner was in it!! I love him.

The show has to do something with aliens trying to take over the planet or something -a typical sci-fi show- and Brent plays this snarky doctor. Who doesn't like snarky doctors?? Take a look at House! Plus, this one was played by Brent Spiner! I watched the show and got really in to it. And just when you start getting hooked, they go and cancel it! I found a number of petitions online trying to bring it back, but apparently that didn't pan out. Out of curiosity, has a show ever been brought back after having been canceled merely by people signing petitions? Anyway.

I just felt the need to rant about it. I have loved Brent ever since I was 8 and still think he's incredibly charming and with a voice of gold! He is a Broadway actor as well so I knew he could sing, but I absolutely melt when I hear him singing this song! Something inside me flutters! Data is falling in love! How weird is that??
