My excitement is throught the roof! Why you ask? Because...
STEPHEN COLBERT WON HIS FIRST GRAMMY!!!!! WOOHOO! SUCK IT KANYE!!!
Last night were the 52nd Grammy Awards and Stephen was nominated in the Best Comedy Album category. It wasn't surprising he won, really. The others in his categories sucked. This is his second nomination (he was nominated for 'I Am America' as well) but first win. He attended the ceremony with his daughter Madeline who was looking incredibly beautiful! Like father, like daughter! She seems very cool! I loved her response to Stephen's remark "Honey, am I cool?" *teenage expression which conveys 'OMG my dad's lame'* Her dad is super-cool and we love him!
The album was fantastic! It has become a Christmas tradition for me! Screw 'Jingle Bells' and 'Silent Night'! Now we have 'Another Christmas Song' and 'What's So Funny 'Bout (Peace, Love And Understanding)'. Here are some vids from the pre-show and the event.
Why are the pre-show "journalists" so stupid?? "Justin, hug Stephen!" Creepy. They didn't even get his Elton/Gaga joke. Jeez. And as usual, he's wearing Brooks Brothers!

I was just thinking that Stephen is on his way to becoming an E.G.O.Ter! He already has his Emmy and Grammy, all he needs is a Tony and Oscar! He can organize a comedy routine on Broadway, kinda like what Will Ferrell did with his Bush impression and win for that. Then for the Oscars...hmmm. Screw it. He'll do what he does best: cry and beg for one and if that doesn't work, steal it and run for the boarder!
