I finally managed to get back to live mode in Ste-Margo, if only for a moment! I ended up spending all my time working on a little dorm for Ste-Margo Community College, since I have several teens set to age up this round and Eustacia's been sitting all lonely by herself in the Sim Bin since she moved out. The building still needs some decorating yet, but I moved Eustacia in really quickly before any dormies could show up; so she'll have a little extra time to get herself settled!
(Annnnd I'm just now realizing that I've made a 4-bedroom dorm with a cafeteria that seats 8, with three additional picnic tables outside... And three showers... Of course I notice this after I've changed the lot zoning and moved a sim in! D'oh.)
Well, whatever. That needs to be sorted, I guess. (Readers: it's no big thing to evict a dorm resident when no one else is moved in, right? Could I even do it with the Sim Bin tool from neighborhood view?) In the meantime, here's a little view of how the college area is coming along:
The new dorm is at the left, just at the entry road to what's turning into a campus. The pink house is still vacant, as a very tiny subsidized rental, and Jayne and Penelope are next door in the green house (I think they'll take in a dormie as a roommate this round). Dean Sweet lives in the teeny blue house. Then there is the
SMCC Student Center and, in the foreground,
SMCC Field. At the top of the picture, down the hill, you can see the McKim house and the new Ste-Margo Public School.
So there's that to wrap up (though I suppose it doesn't need to be done until Eustacia's round), and I've got some lots to finish for
maranatah at The Big Tradeoff. I will certainly be sharing pictures of both. I've also been wanting to do some livesimming lately, but every time I think of it, it's like the middle of the night with zero notice. :| Maybe Friday or Saturday afternoon?? I've just got some updates on Twikkii-Tikki Island's progress I could share, and I can give a little tour of lots in progress. I dunno.
Otherwise, it's been good to stop fussing with downloads at last. I finally got a chance to use the
chair recolors I made and which were featured in Living Sims! See?
Exciting! I've seen pictures of a couple things I've uploaded in other people's games recently, and it's a little bit of a thrill every time. And it was exciting to get a chance to see them in my own game, too!
I've got vacation locals to show off and to makeover yet, but we're making progress...
