Dealing With Unemployment
I have now been laid off from Between The Lines for about a month. Its hard not to get depressed when I see the dearth of employers out there that are hiring. Leaving the state is beginning to look like the only sane option.
And its fall. Not technically, not yet, but the depression I typically go through every autumn is getting an early start this year. The bands just are not moving forward...we just signed a six month lease in our current apartment even though its in a crack neighborhood because, well, the landlord dropped the rent to $400 a month...its a dreary-ass rainy overcast day...
And I have enough to eat, and a roof over my head (although it does leak) and friends, and the love of Lorraine which counts for an awful lot. I have two cats who make me laugh...and still, I am depressed.
