Wicked was absolutely phenomenal! I will say I was more than a bit bummed walking into the theatre because Julia Murney wasn't performaning at the show but rather the Elphaba stand-by, Victoria Matlock. My disappointment was quickly washed away as I quickly became immersed in the setting and songs ( Read more... )

I'm sad you missed Julia, but I'm sure Victoria was good, I know people loved her.

How much longer will the show be there? I know they are doing lotto - a friend of mine won it a few days ago. So you could definitely see the show again if you wanted to, and for $20-$25, it's not a bad deal.

And clearly I meant to comment with my Julia icon.

I love Julia's cd. I think she's FABULOUS.

And clearly, I should have replied with my Wicked icon. Oops.

I agree about the CD! Quite happy I ended up buying that. I've already listened to it multiple times since yesterday and have a feeling it'll get plenty of airtime during the roadtrip to Seattle.

Victoria was great. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't disappointed in the least, but I was quite looking forward to Julia. Ah well.

I would go again in a heartbeat because the show's here 'til sometime in July (although Julia's missing the last week) but I'm leaving for vacation next week so it won't fit into my schedule conveniently. And, although the lotto thing is intriguing, it's not a sure-deal and considering the venue's an hour away, it's not worth it either. But it's all very, very tempting.
