Mom update
Here's what happened:
I got a call from my sister at around 8 yesterday morning. My mom was in a bad wreck with my niece and was taken to the Duke ER.
She was moved to ICU with swelling and bleeding in the brain. The also discovered after an MRI that she had an aneurism, but not sure if the wreck brought it on or not.
She is heavily sedated and unconscious with little to no change.
My niece, who is 10, only had scrapes and a broken nose. She is having a hard time with it all. When the wreck happened, they slid down an embankment. My mom was knocked unconscious and fell onto my niece, bleeding extensively. The girl was flipping out.
Now we're just waiting to see how she does.
