What are the chances? Two enjoyable events in a row.....
Not very good.
I can't say I had a horrible time at Crown, because I didn't. It was simply fraught with annoyances.
The site sucked. Big rocks. Never stage an SCA event in a parking lot. First of all, you can't get the tent stakes into the residual blacktop. And you can't get them out. And the parking lot isn't large enough for tents and a list field. And the sand gets really old after it's caked all your floor rugs. The gold tinsel candelabra and the paper castle walls in the hall were....interesting.
But the company was great, the food was great, the fighting was riveting. Dinner at Cinzetti's afterwards was very nice.
