update of sorts
my room is a mess, and i'm trying to stay distracted from having to straighten it. here are some highlights of laura's life in the past couple weeks...
1. i was working a wedding reception in anderson and in walks the whisler family. (an old youth minister, wife, and son) it was so random and really exciting to see someone i know so far away at a reception. i talked to them quite a bit throughout the night. it made my night.
2. i had a really good holiday weekend. i was actually able to have friday, saturday, and sunday off. crazy i know. it was amazing to get to spend time with friends friday, kylee saturday, and eric and kim friday and saturday. i don't get to see all of them that often, so it made me happy to get some time off to have some fun.
3. i went to the john mayer/colbie cailat concert saturday and had a blast. i really love going to verizon for concerts. it's just a fun atmosphere in the lawn. i would never get pavilion seats. lindsey, her sister megan, myself, and my friend jill made the trip. there's just something about chilling in the lawn listening to good music with a drink in hand. i was with 3 verizon first timers, so i hope i showed them a good time. john mayer put on a really good show, which made it all a good splurge.
4. i'm moving out in like 3 weeks. i'm pretty excited about the whole thing. my parents are getting rid of the house, so i needed to find a place to go. my friend jill has a nice house in greenwood(in pines of greenwood across from greenwood christian church) and needs a roommate. it's kind of sad to leave the house. i don't really want to have to pack and move everything, but it's time to move on. i wanted to get an apartment on my own, but i think it will be fun living in the house with my friend. plus i'm only moving 5 minutes away, so it isn't a big move. jill and i have been hanging out more recently, and i think we are going to work well as roommates. i hope so because she's also my boss at byrd's, so if this doesn't work well it could affect my job. i don't see that happening.
5. if anyone reading this watches the real word on mtv, you really need to watch coral vision. it's the real world shows with commentary from coral and her guest. oh my gosh, it is hilarious. they basically just make fun of real world cast and the dumb things they do. watch it.
