hey party people. just taking a break, thought i'd give a little update.
1. my mom, grandma, and aunt tried to get me to join their club and get a vera bradley purse this weekend. i was iffy about it. then i go to church and see none other than gary's daughter mckenzie with a vera bradley purse. i thought my gosh it's all over. but..i couldn't bring myself to spend that type of money on a purse. so i'm not part of the club. lol. i like my new purse. oh and my new pink wallet. the long kind to put your check book and such in. exciting i know.
2. my small group started our new study last night. we're going through this book called what you do best in the body of christ. it's about finding your spiritual gifts, passion, and personal style. i was pretty excited. i was a little nervous to see how the first one would go, since it was my first time leading. no big deal though. discussion went smoothly. it's going to be a good study. next week we're meeting early, so we can watch the colts game at 6. haha.
3. yesterday at church my dad stepped down as an elder. he's been an elder for like 7 years. it was kind of weird, but not really a big deal. the reality of the situation is he stepped down because him and my mom are leaving nwcc. i'm staying though. it'll be different for my parents to be going somewhere other than nwcc. i mean that's our home church. we've gone there for years. i think it's for the best. they aren't leaving because of any specific person or specific situation. just feel like it's time to go elsewhere to be refreshed, grow, and build up positive relationships. keep that situation in your prayers.
