[Don't worry, Aerith, he's laughing with you. He's not in that much pain, and he likes seeing you laugh.]
'm fine, fine. I'll be up soon.
[And sure enough, soon there is a rap on the door!...before Cloud remembers he can open it himself. He's got a needle in his cheek aaaaand a few others stuck in his arms, torso. A little blood, not like "OH GOD HE'S GOING TO FAINT" or anything, it's just there, careless smeared from where he already yanked some needles out.]
[An amused look when she sees him open the door, growing to a little concern seeing the needles and blood. She walks over to him, and reaches for his hand.]
Are there needles anywhere else?
[Asked teasingly, but meant in mostly a serious way. She wants to make sure that he's really alright.]
[Frowns, not quite sure what "anywhere else" is for her atm. Holds his arm out, just in case she didn't notice those.]
Just a shot from the front.
[aaaaand he decides to pluck the one from his cheek, now that she's seen it--it is a sensitive spot. So he turns his head away for two seconds, his eye winces a little aaand then he's wondering what to do with the needle in his hand. Hmmm. Pocket for now. He's just going to go sit down on the couch and start turning himself back from a pincushion.]
[Looks down at his arm and frowns a little, nodding.]
Well, that's a relief.
[Just looks at him, wondering how to...nevermind he sat on the couch by himself! She kneels in front of him, and tries to look at the needles a little more closely.]
Cloud, do we have a first aid kit? I'll help you remove those and get you cleaned up.
[She heads towards the sink, looking under it for the first aid kit, hoping there's antiseptic maybe gauze and band aids. Finding it, she takes it out carefully and walks back over to Cloud, sitting next to him on the couch.]
Now, let me look at where the cactuar got you.
[She suppresses a giggle, thinking about when she had to patch up a child in the slums when he was beaten up by another boy.]
[Cloud is drunk, but he's a fairly calm and easygoing drunk, so he's just gonna go along with Aerith and let her look him over, stretching out for easier examination. He kinda likes getting fussed over, so he's got a quiet, somewhat silly smile.]
Talent. [It's proof that he's drunk when he can say this without sarcasm. He kinda does believe he's just a magnet for bad luck.
Leaning down a little more now, and then--it's hard to tell if he's chickening out at the last moment, or just aiming poorly--but the peck lands at the corner of her lips instead of being dead center.]
[trying sooooo hard not to giggle]

[My mind went to bad places with Aerith kneeling in front of drunk Cloud. >.>;;;]

What gave you the idea to fight a cactuar, Cloud?
[Gently grabs a needle and waits for his answer, planning on pulling it out while he's distracted by talking.]

Cactuar got me first, I just got 'im back.
[and ow, needle getting pulled out. He twitches.]

Sorry, Cloud. It has to be done though. And I'm sure it did. And you won at least, correct?
[Places a hand on his cheek, smiling into his eyes as she tries another way to distract him from pulling some more needles out.]

Kinda...leaning into the hand now. And smiling back at her. And maybe leaning a little forward.]

How do you get yourself into these messes?
[Notices him leaning into her hand, but doesn't really think much of it, thinks maybe its alleviating the pain somehow?]
