One thing I'd like to think is a good characteristic of myself is that I know when I want something. I mean, yes, I can be indecisive as fuck about the little things, but when push comes to shove then I know what I want and I go for it. In this case I knew I did not want to do the same ordinary thing tonight. I didn't want beer. I didn't want weed. I didn't want The Yards. I didn't want any of the same people. So I got off work and I went someplace else. I ended up playing a kick ass game of chess with a total stranger and winning. Okay, granted, this guy had been playing since the age of six and let me win but he explained my moves all along. He let me know when I was pulling a good move and when I should re-think. & all along we had this nice get to know you conversation. The wierd thing is that he approached me by asking what was playing in my headphones. Pretty soon he's whipped out his Ipod and I have my Dell out comparing each other's taste. Not in a condicending way, but in a curious one. (Although I flat out told him that I think Ipods suck.)
In conclusion, yay me. Yay night & YAY LIZ WE'RE MOVING!
(Oh and P.S, Liz his name was Peter. How funny is that?)
