yep. First summer reading book I've had in five years that I can't put down.

WHAT????????? I thought it was horribly boring except for the anti-semitic bits which were funny.
Course, I had read Pride & Prejudice before it, the first summer book in a few years *I* couldn't put down. It was like a supermarket romance novel, but hey, cheap romances are fun.

blech. Gimme a good, action-packed story of medieval origin anyday! Gotta love Robin Hood!

I ADORE Robin Hood. But I didn't like Ivanhoe. And last year, between reading Pride and Prejudice and Invahoe, P & P wins hands down. I mean, usually I can't stand cheesy romance, but I adored this for reasons still unknown to me.
Ivanhoe was too......ugh... The only good character was Rebecca.

I've already planned out that I'm going to sue the Catholic Church on the grounds of not being politically correct because they won't admit me, and then they'll have to.

Why sue it? Fiction is pretty awesome. Take Discworld or LotR. And the tooth fairy. But why do people beleive in God but not the tooth fairy, I don't get...
