Really? Really?

I just got home from the store. I was in one of those U-Scan things (More like U-SCAM! AMIRITE? People?) and was kinda in limbo waiting for a scanner to free up. This lady off to the left of me is done scanning her items and instead of pushing her cart out of the way, she just simply shoves it so it goes rolling backwards into the isle where shoppers walk through.

I saw this and said "Really?" not super loud but loud enough. The lady pretended she didn't hear me. The girl running the scanner thing came around from her computer thing and went up to the lady asking "Are you done using this cart?" and the lady pretended not to hear her. I said "really?" again. The girl asked her again and the lady goes "Huh? Oh. Uh...no." then starts acting like she's in a hurry. I say "really?" again, this time for comic effect and then the girl pulls out a package of hot dogs from the cart and goes "did you want these ma'am?" the lady goes "Uh, no." then quickly pays.

I dunno, I thought that was pretty rude. It's not like where the shopping carts are parked is a million miles from the parking lot, you go past them on the way out of the freakin store. She easily could've taken the cart with her. Instead she chooses to be lazy, push the cart in the way of other shoppers, and then pretends none of it happened.

Maybe it's cause I work in a store where people use shopping carts and half the people who use them are retards and don't know how to use them, or even where to put them when they're finished (one night I swear I found FOUR empty carts just simply sitting in the middle of different isles. I thought I was in the "Langoliers" or something and people were just vanishing.) but that was all a bit uncalled for.

Really.
