While I'm waiting for more stories to come to rec a good bunch of those, here are some X-Men recs. ENJOY! :)
How Deep the Bullet Lies by littledust

Summary: "This is drowning, their first meeting all over again, the natural conclusion of the moment Charles felt Erik in the water, fevered with anguish and history." Charles, from the beginning to the end.
Why I rec: This could be the perfect X-men/Cherik entry fic for all of us who weeped over First Class and the tragic parting of Charles and Erik. Oh God, this was so beautifully written and so canon and so touching and heartbreaking too ;__;
It feels like exactly what happened in between the scenes shown in the movie. Oh, the grief! Gorgeous writing!

One Last Kiss At The End Of The World by Yahtzee

Summary: When Raven gets mixed up in a mutant cult, Charles infiltrates the group, pretending to be a true believer in the hopes of getting her out. What surprises him is the charisma and uncanny wisdom of the cult's leader, Elisha Ammon -- the emotional power of this isolated group of mutants working to create a home together -- and his powerful connection to Ammon's right-hand man, Erik Lehnsherr. But Ammon's fear of humanity, and of the future, makes him desperate for control ... and when the bond between Charles and Erik can't be contained, Ammon's reaction proves deadly.
(The role of Elisha Ammon is being played by the very obliging Imaginary Benedict Cumberbatch.)
Why I rec: It's Yahtzee so perhaps I need to say no more ;) I loved this story, the way it was very believable and introspective. It shows the psychological process really well. It also gives so many FEELS. For Erik, for Charles, for Angel and others. Pay attention to warnings because they are not to be taken for granted here. But the pain is all worth it and the end is a true surprise!

Second Chances by Red

Summary: Written for a kink meme prompt requesting a XMFC story based off of the 1996 film Different for Girls, but with an FTM Charles and Erik playing the Prentice role. You don't need to have seen it, but the plot owes a lot to the movie.
In a modern AU where mutants are still treated as second-class citizens, Erik once found himself an unlikely friend at a state-run boarding school. When Frances went off to college early, he felt abandoned and figured he'd never meet her again. Fifteen years (and almost three thousand miles) later, Erik runs into an oddly familiar man.
Why I rec: I loved this so so so much.
Ever since I read a FTM Merlin story by cruentum I've been searching for more and more touching stories with FTM protagonists. And wow, was this one good. I loved how the subject was approached here, how gentle (and yet full of pain!) it was and how hopeful and natural it felt. This Erik was so very in character, a bit lost, but managing and Charles was so much Charles, too--both fragile and confident.
The sex was unbelievably hot--so good.
Amazing story, so sweet and moving.

The Marriage Bargain by kianspo

Summary: Erik Lehnsherr had made a fortune manufacturing steel in Europe. When he wished to expand to the New World, he discovered that no one would do business with him unless he was affiliated with one of the First Families, the creme de la creme of the NW aristocracy. When Lord Marko holds an auction to give away his 14-year-old stepson's hand in marriage, Erik sees his chance and takes it. He has no interest in Charles himself, but now that he has him, can they make it work?
Why I rec: Ohhhh, I wished this story was finished, but even the first part was awesome! I ached for this little, lost but so adept Charles who was doing his best under the circumstances. And Erik felt so canon, gentle and strong at the same time, run by his emotions and containing them, full of contradictions, just and GOOD.
I think it's worth reading even if it doesn't get finished any time soon or at all.

Accidentally Welcome to the Rest of Your Lives by kianspo
Charles/Erik | Words: 2484 | Explicit | Alternate Universe - Modern Setting
Summary: Non-powered college AU. Erik and Charles have nothing in common until they end up having sex at someone's party. They don't have much in common after that, either, but find each other a hard habit to quit.
Why I rec: Oh goodness, but this was gorgeous! And somehow painful, as usually it is when one of the characters is lost, oblivious, just going about their life. This Erik was so beautiful: with his anger and denial and softness too.
And Charles was perfect and sweet.
Gah! Truly a little gem!And to think I'd have missed it if not for spacealtie and her translation of this story!
I'm off to read more! :)
