Here are 3 stories I've read lately that just melted my heart.

White Nights by spicedpiano, tahariel
Charles/Erik | Words: 193797 | Explicit | Alternate Universe - Fantasy

Summary: Duke Erik Lehnsherr of Ironhold needs an omega to carry on his line, and Earl Charles Xavier of Westchester needs an alpha to give him the political leverage he needs in order to make his sister Queen. An arranged marriage brings them together, but Erik's lust for war and Charles' hidden agenda threaten to tear them apart. In the frozen Northlands of Ironhold life is hard and cold, and both Charles and Erik must give up their pretense and see each other as they really are: perfect for each other, if only they'll acknowledge it.

Why I rec: This is an OF for me. And and OF I want to see published, filmed and best-selling. This is what I seek and want in fiction - stories EXACTLY like this one. It was a truly MAGNIFICENT story! What a world building, what a history and what an emotional ride, too!

We have amazing, Northern lands here, beautifully written, wild and harsh and with great culture and people and rituals. There is South - written just like the South should be - decadent, milde, and cruel despite the "civilization".

I loved the development of the relationship between Charles and Erik, the differences, the distrust, the hurt and the slow building of alliance and love. I loved how fierce their emotions were once they allowed each other to let go. I loved the alpha/omega dynamic and how Charles was so much more than just an omega.
Gosh - how HOT HOT HOT this story was! Dear lord, yes please, the sex was gorgeously written and emotional and the knotting and heat left me gasping. Wow. The pregnancy too (readers - please mind this is mpreg, but even if mpreg normally squeeks you out - this story is SO WORTH reading).
The part focused on the development of trust and love was amazing but the second, war part was no less captivating!
This was a truly original, fascinating world and history - so much love for this astonishing book. (It's better than GoT ppl! :)

If You Liked The Book, You'll Hate The Movie by paperclipbitch
Erik Lehnsherr/Charles XavierHank McCoy/Alex SummersSean Cassidy/MystiqueEmma Frost/Sebastian ShawArmando Muñoz/Angel Salvadore | Words: 57918 | Teen And Up Audiences | Alternate Universe - High School

Summary: Modern-Day High School AU. It’s not until Hank realises half the class are glancing towards the back of the classroom with something like nerves and something like schadenfreude that he finds out Alex Summers is back.

Why I rec: MY GOD. This story.
I started it thinking it was just another HS fic - funny, angsty, hot, and maybe a little bit cracky. But wow, I did NOT expect all that emotional roller-coaster! Oh dear Lord, the way ALL THE CHARACTERS ARE SO BROKEN!!! I was crying myself stupid, my heart clenched and aching while reading it. Underneath the easy events and funny and crazy situations there was so much more and what was underneath hurt like whoa!
Erik - with his unusual ways, seen as crazy and stupid by his students, had a cause and a plan. Charles - with his drinking problem and his responsibility that he was way too young to take was just - I have no words. His part was heartbreaking, but parts when he was seen in others eyes was equally painful. I loved Raven, brave and trying. And Hank and oh God, Alex - with his anger and huge gentle heart and love for his brother. I have no idea how it was possible to pack so many emotions in one little story, but this is exactly what I'm looking for in fiction - a story that has all the ache and all that wisdom of growing up hidden underneath.
Amazing story and brilliantly done really different point of views.

Everyday Love in Stockholm by tahariel

Erik/Charles | Words: 132093 | Explicit | Alternate Universe - Post Nuclear

Summary: Prompt: Magneto is the ruler of the posthuman world.
His only secret? Charles Xavier, the human he's kept locked in his bedroom ever since his right-hand woman, Mystique, came to him pleading for mercy for her stepbrother, who accepted her mutant form and protected her as a child. The human he started fucking after Mystique was killed in battle, despite the guilt he feels at contaminating even this last promise to the woman who was integral to his life's work and happiness.

Why I rec: Oh my goodness, I cried so much while reading this gorgeous story! Erik was just so incredibly heartbreaking with his fierce, strong emotions, with his everlasting love, deep and not changing, with how much he wanted to keep Charles for himself, how much he needed Charles. And Charles - sweet, gentle, good and so caught up in Erik's love. Aahsjgfahjgf
I can't even imagine what it would be like to be kept in captivity for so long. With time passing by and Charles going almost insane. The way it is described here was so believable.
GAH!
Amazing, emotional, political story - I couldn't stop reading and I couldn't stop crying and all I can say is that it was touching and gorgeous and just perfect.
