College Graduation

Dec 12, 2010 18:09

This morning started out rocky. The ground was covered in snow this morning and the plow had not come to clear anything off the roads. Brad shoveled the driveway and then we braved the cold. The roommates had to be left behind. Due to the weather, I was thirty minutes late, but I made it to the graduation. Mom, Dad, Scott, and Brad were there to cheer me on. The roommates watched from the internet as well as other of my relatives and friends. At the ceremony, I did not know many people, but a few people from my classes I recognized. I spent time finding mom, Scott, Dad, and Brad in the audience, then I focused in on the Surgeon General's speech.

After the ceremony, the roommates and I, mom, dad, Scott, and Brad all went to Ruby Tuesday's to have a celebratory lunch. It was great, and I was glad to have everyone together for my graduation. I wish my grandparents could have come but they were snowed in. That is definitely understandable. I did get to call them while at the restaurant though, so that was good.

I feel like I am free to do what I want with my life finally. School has always dictated my life.
