Camping Trip This Past Weekend and Other Fun

I would like to start this blog by saying Happy Birthday Will!!! I am so glad I met you and hope your birthday is the best ever :)

Saturday morning I left my home at 8 am to go to West Va. to camp and see family. The drive was annoyingly long for it only being three hours, but the trip became worth it. I got to see my grandpa (sadly he is in a nursing home....I despise nursing homes, they kill people in my opinion). He was more awake then usual, so we took pictures with him and talked about me going to Germany and what we had been up to. After leaving the nursing home, we went to my dad's sister's camper where we would be staying/visiting. I took motion sickness medicine for the trip to the camper, and it knocked me out. After a tent was put up I actually fell asleep on a tarp floor in the heat....I was really tired. The nap was well needed, and I was more alive after it. We sat around, talked of our lives, and did things to get dinner and camping ready. After a grilled dinner, a game of horseshoes was played. It was Katherine's (my dad's girlfriend) first time playing; it was fun seeing people teach her to play. All of us kids were anxious to go fishing and soon the game ended and we could. Of course, I caught nothing. I am not patient enough for fishing, apparently but I still like to try. I mostly just enjoyed the night, fire, and mountain air. Sleeping pretty much did not happen, but I tried to lay down about 1 am just to be woken up by a horrible storm at 2 am. They were calling for a tornado so everyone piled into cars and the camper to take some sort of cover. By three, I got to sleep. Waking up the next morning was funny, because the first thing I saw was my dad and Katherine's makeshift bed in the back of his SUV. They stuffed an air mattress in the trunk of it. It was really comfy :) We left around 1:30pm that day and on the way home stopped by a little general store to get cooking spices and neat woven bracelets. Mine is purple :) Thanks Katherine! The trip went well and they are going back on July 4 but I will be in Germany.

I had a strange dream last night having to deal with buying things for my new apartment that I do not have right now and going to an odd gathering. I went with my mom and Scott to buy things for my apartment but everything was giant sized. We acted like it was normal in the dream though. I wanted so many things, but we left empty handed. Maybe we were just browsing. They dropped me off at some gathering. I do not know what it was for. There were lots of people and I think it was a university event. In the center of this event with tons of people surrounding it was a swirl of gold sparkling light. People were stepping in and out of it. Someone told me to step in after I asked what it was, so I did. It was an amazing feeling. I was so calm and serene. I did not want to get out, then I saw the gold things going in the spiral turn into meters. It was draining me of my energy. I did not panic or really care, because I felt so calm, but got out anyway. I realized at that point that the man running this gathering was up to no good, but by the time I found out it did not matter. A monster (it happened to be the evil red polka dotted flowers from Mario) sprouted for ground and began causing peril. I ran with the crowd and ended up finding my friend Brittany from school. She directed me to a sfe place down a hill where I found Alicia with two guys. All four of us went to an amphitheater looking thing to sit and talk, but I soon left. Once I left it turned to me being with my dad, Katherine, and my brother. Katherine and I got in a dark SUV and left while being followed by my dad and brother in a white oldsmobile or buick. Katherine and I are actually trying to get away from them, but I have no idea why. I have been trying to pin the car colors as a good and evil battle but have not succeeded in anything that makes sense to me.

Tonight, Jeramy, Caroline, Alicia, and I went to the park to just chill and chat. It was something to do to get out of the house. I love being able to sit outside and just talk about random things. After the park, a trip to Waffle House was in order for coffee, waffles, and hash browns covered and diced. Yum! While there I successfully memorized how to call out toppings for hash browns in Waffle House lingo. I was proud of myself lol. It was a chill night, but adventurous in its own way nonetheless. It completed the night when Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" came on the radio for the drive home.

I wonder what dreams I will have tonight. Sleep well.
