Mud is fun,
Mud is great,
But not when you have to wait for a tow truck 'til eight.
We gave it our best,
We used all our force,
But it couldn't even be pulled out by a horse.
The car was stuck,
There was no getting it out,
A way to help, we were without.
So we borrowed some buckets,
Cardboard boxes and sand,
We'd get the car out eventually for sure if everyone gave a helping hand.
But our attempts were useless,
It was late, we were hungry and tired,
Then all of a sudden we were inspired.
Let's go for a walk someone said,
So we headed off to a friend's car,
Surely four miles can't be that far.
Can't be that far you say,
Well, it's further than you think,
So we get the car, but there's just one kink.
You'd think that towing ropes would do the trick,
But you'd be sadly mistaken,
All that happened was it left our minds achin'.
So finally, we were out of options,
Nothing else was to be done,
Except call a tow truck at 6:45, oh this will be fun.
As we waited we were entertained,
With builders looking around with puzzled faces,
Could someone have moved their buckets to other places?
So we watched as they worked,
Watering the dirt in that oh so special way,
Then the tow truck pulled around the corner and we said, HEY!!
Finally we were saved,
Our adventure was through,
Aren't you sad we didn't invite you to come too?
