Bucky narrowed his eyes at her as her words filtered through his brain. "I told you that I am home." Except where if they stayed there they were liable to try and take Bucky's memories again. The ones that were surfacing. He keeps his distance from Stephanie though. He had to and he had no intentions of giving her their daughter back. "What makes you think you can teach me any of that?" Even as he asks he looks down at the fussy little girl. "Shh... you're fine," he whispers before humming an old song. Same one that he used to hum when Steph had a hard time sleeping. However, that had been when she was a sickly skinny thing.

Steph felt her heart rip in two as she watched Bucky hum that song to Becky. She began to sing the words quietly along as Becky settled again in his arms. "You used to sing that to me when I couldn't sleep because I was too sick," she said quietly. "You can learn, Bucky, I"ll teach you. If I can teach Dr. Banner how to change a diaper, I can teach you."

Mentioning other men to a man who is supposed to be the little one's father is not the best way to go about things. She should know that or at least should know how jealous Bucky can get."You can't," he growls. His head was really starting to hurt. Their recalibration... Steph's trying to give him his old memories... Which if she kept up might work. Though he wasn't giving up their daughter.

"When I got your missing in action letter, my heart broke. I couldn't...I couldn't leave you missing. I went after you," she went on. "And then I found you. I kissed you so much even though we were in that interrogation room. You...we...."

That night the men were liberated, after all the red tape was clear, she and Bucky had spent private time just on their own. Becky's conception.

"Stop it," he grounds out. Moving back he sits down on the table. Even if that table was full of bad memories. Whenever he had to report a mission, whenever they thought he was out of line they'd strap him to that table and wipe away his memories. He'd be their perfect soldier again. They weren't there for the moment to do it though.

So if she did get through then they'd be screwed.

"Bucky...come on, Bucky. Don't you remember all the baseball games we went to? The movies? You've got to. Our first kiss? it was on my birthday," she kept adding. She kept pushing, tears running down her face.

"I said stop it," he growls out. He's absently rocking Becky and hardly paying attention to Steph. Though at the same time he's listening to those words. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"We were watching fireworks in the park. You said happy birthday and kissed me." Steph hoped something, anything got through to him.

"You're aching for something bad to happen, aren't you?" He grounds out before squeezing his eyes shut. It was slowly forming. But those eyes don't stay shut long and they snap open watching her. Keep with the memories Stephanie. It's working.

"You used to sing that song to me when I was sick. You asked me to marry you on the rooftop."

He shakes his head, "I didn't." But he's starting to doubt himself which wasn't good.

"You did! You had dinner and candles and dragged or record player up there," she pleaded.

He frowns and shakes his head, headache getting worse. "Stop it!. Just... stop." He slides from the table to his knees, the whole time keeping Becky close to him in that protective fatherly embrace. The one that said try and hurt her and I'll kill you.

"Our honeymoon. We went to Cape Cod." Her cheeks actually turned a little pink at remembering what they've done on their honeymoon. "We wanted kids but...then the war happened."

"You still wanted that night to happen though," he says through gritted teeth. "We both did."

"And we had that night." She reached for his hand. "Bucky, come home. Come home with Becky and I. She needs her pops. Look at her."
