Strattera: Day 15, and the SCA

So here's how it's going...

It'd be hopelessly pretentious to write a day-by-day on how the ADD meds were working - you need to give them time to build up in the system. So. Fifteen days out...

... it feels pretty good. No weird side effects. I feel like me, and not a stranger. But little things that were hard, aren't hard any more. Like putting my keys in the same place every night. Like doing exercises. (I'm trying to get in shape - I'm fighting heavy in the SCA these days, and "get fit or a man will hit you with a stick" is a great motivator.) It's easier to be patient. It's not perfect (whoops, did I set the timer for the lasagna?), but it certainly doesn't hurt. Is it worth it? Yeah. I guess it is. I guess I can live with that.

I've started fighting heavy with the SCA. There's not much of a LARP scene up here in Ohio, but the Barony of the Cleftlands is extremely active - 50 or so members meeting every week, and the Prince of the Midrealm is set to be crowned at the end of the month. (Yes, pictures will be posted.)  Heavy fighting is more or less the sport of choice, so... I've ordered my first three staffs of rattan.  Learning how to fight is great fun, I'll give you that. Let's see what happens next. A very skilled captain of the Cleftlands barony, Captain Farthegn Rinkson, has been very generous with his time. I'm hoping to get certified in a few months, and then get whaled on for fun for a few months more before I seriously consider winning something. It's gonna be a riot. Pennsic 2011, here I come...
