Car update.
My car is working just fine - no broken seals or any such thing.
The problem with the car that I put too much oil into was (shocker, wait for it) I put too much oil into it. They took the oil out. It works fine.
In my rather weak defense, I should point out that in this car I'm adding oil directly to the crank case. I've added it to a reservoir in other cars, so I was expecting to see something fill up. And I had trouble interpeting the dipstick (which may, in fact, make me the dipstick).
Well, at least I know Not To Do The Dumb Thing now. And it's nice that my car's robust enough to put up with that sort of abuse.
