I mostly use LJ because of all the privacy concerns with Facebook, but I think most people use Facebook, unfortunately. I've noticed people haven't been around LJ for a while, too.
Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to be doing. Also, there are a lot of personal stuff that I wouldn't want others to see and I think LJ has better privacy settings (although with the new LJ crossposting, I worry how that might affect things). I think I'll be setting up a FB account just to be able to keep in contact with people.
I am still here! I have been trying to be more active over here--took a break to write with pen on paper! -- but I do mostly read and lurk... I've been thinking about switching to Blogspot, just because I've got a lot of friends that have migrated there, but *shrug* I like it here...
I'm also, as you know, very active on FB, but I don't like to post notes there. There are things that I write about that I don't want people to know, like my conservative aunt or my mom's friend from high school or my old boss's kids.
I'm here, but I too have friends departing, BECAUSE of FB---they don't want to be cross-posted, so they're heading over to Dreamwidth. DW is almost identical to LJ in navagibility, and has the option to cross-post your earlier LJ posts over there. (Which I've done, just to have a backup, but I'm not ready to go scampering over there full time. Yet.)
I'm still here, but since I'm in the throes of dissertating I'm not really up to writing too much these days. I know I've been using Twitter more as it's a bit more instant for me (no waiting to post on LJ) and the small character limit means I can put really short thoughts up.
i'm here and at fb. fb is for light family and friends in the real world, lj is for the deep and/or everyday stuff that's not family/close friend oriented!
