Anybody out there familiar with Prince Marth, one of the hidden characters in Super Smash Bros. Melée for the Nintendo GameCube? He's from an RPG series called Fire Emblem. There was short anime made from Fire Emblem that was translated and released in the U.S., even though the games still haven't made the transition. After learning more about the characters from Melée, I happened to discover the anime at my local video store (or maybe it was my brother who spotted it).
Anyway, tonight we were renting some stuff, and the video store clerk pointed out that they had a special deal running tonight that we could take advantage of by renting something else. It would actually cost fifty cents LESS to rent an additional VHS movie. Obviously, we knew what to do. We hadn't wanted to waste a free rental on something as silly as an anime about a boy who wears his dead sister's tiara. (I shit you not. Look it up someplace!) And we didn't want to actually pay to see the shite, either. But to save fifty cents by renting it -- THAT was a sign!
We also rented Groundhog Day. Squirt found the world's simplest drinking game for it: drink each time the day restarts. We intend to try it with Mt. Dew. I can think of a way to get plotzed, though -- drink each time Marth(a) acts like a total femme.
