Seaweed snakes

Rose waverunners this morning at the beach. It was fabulous. I got up to 85km which was insanely fast considering we were on rough beach-wave-ridden water. The water blows in your face really hard so you gotta keep your eyes almost shut, yet just open enough to make out what is in front of you. I had to stop a couple times to attempt to wipe my eyes out. You get soaked when you ride them, but the water is so warm and the weather is so hot that you don't even care.
SO anyways, I was being an ass and I was riding it standing up while going like 85km and I hit Michael's wake while making a sharp turn and it sucked me off the back of it and I blew like ten feet back behind the waverunner and it shot like 40 or 50 feet ahead of me in the water. When I flew off the waverunner, it felt like I hit a cement wall with my back because that was how I landed. My vest pulled the keys to the ignition out when I got shot off. So there I was, about a mile from shore, treading water and floating there with my waverunner fifty feet away from me, freaking out because anything could've been swimming right below me. I tried to swim as fast as I could but I didn't seem to be getting any close to my waverunner. Just then something wrapped around my ankle. I didn't know what the hell it was so I started panicking and shaking my foot. I suppose it was probably seaweed, but when you're out that far from shore and you can't see through the water and it's that deep, the seaweed might as well have been a viscious sea-snake or something. I guess my dad saw that I had been blown off so he rode over and yanked me up onto the back of his waverunner, just as I was beginning to really freak out. Sharks scare the hell out of me, so I was really relieved to be picked up from the water. He brought me back over to my waverunner, and I didn't try any donuts or other tricks after that. It was fun as hell though. We had a blast.
