Today I went to the doctor. I'd never been to this particulalr doctor before and they needed to gather some information and past medical history. Now my past medical history is fairly boring (which is a good thing)...anyway...as the burse asked me the following questions:
1. Who in your family has the diabetes?
2. What about the heart disease?
3. Have you ever had any surgery?
4. Have you ever had any children?
...she stood with her back to me the entire time. For every question and every answer I gave. She was a nice woman and she was helping me (who despite relative good health has some serious white coat syndrome) feel much more at ease. But something about this keeping her back to me, turned me off.
Bad Feelings.
In other news, today my car wouldn't start and I nearly had a breakdown. I was so sad to think that this was something I was going to have to deal with. Luckily, after I called my daddy, like the nearly 30 year old baby I am, the car miraculously started. The shining star in this lousy situation was that some of my co-workers were so nice and so helpful it really warmed my heart. Two of them even called me later this evening to follow up and make sure I made it home ok.
Good feelings.
