today's life lesson: do not order porn off of your television
so today i got home from work at resale and i was a little bored, kind of sleepy.
my plan was to go home and do my geometry homework. once i was actually here though that wasn't all that appealing anymore.
i thought about watching television and then i thought i had a brilliant idea: maybe i'd order some porn.
i had never ordered a porn before. i thought that it might be interesting, maybe entertain me for a little while...you know....at the very least it would serve as a laugh.
so i decide on "barely 18." as soon as i hit the yes button though the screen just froze and the tv went blank. i waited, and then it turned back to normal tv. i thought maybe i did something wrong. i went through and tried a few others.....but nothing worked. the screen kept freezing. then all of the sudden the tv went completely blank and i couldn't even so much as change the channel.
i tried calling sbc because i didn't want to get charged for this. i tried twice and gave up after being put on hold for forever.
then nicole came home and she wanted to watch television, so she made me call again.
it turned out i had been calling the wrong number, so i got through right away this time.
and i tell the dude my story.
and he helps me fix the tv.
then he started telling me that there are no refunds on paid perview programming.
and i'm just like "COME ON DUDE, THAT'S LIKE $70 AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SEE ONE BOOB!!!!"
and he was all, "blah blah blah, no exceptions"
i tell him that i would understand if i had seen like two seconds of boob and then it cut out, but that it didn't even go through, so therefore in the "we give you porn, you pay for it" contract i didn't get my porn, so i sure as hell wasn't going to pay for it.
he just kept saying that he wasn't going to make an exception.
and i am getting all super bitch at this point, so he tells me to go through my purchase history and i do. and the movies aren't on there.
so he's just like, "oh....well then i guess you won't be charged for those movies"
WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE JUST LOOKED THAT UP AND TOLD ME THAT FROM THE GET GO???????
