My health...oh, and Troy...and some other myth stuff =.=

Beware, for I am:
Headachey
Ok, so, went to the doctor on my lunch break. Had my ears flushed and sucked and then was given antibiotics and ...other meds. The verdict? I had a ton of ear wax, backed up sinuses and a sinus infection. So it wasn’t just my ears, it was a whole bunch of little things and my ears stuck out (no pun intended -.-). My right ear is still hurting pretty badly, but Dad figures that’s gonna stay ‘cause of the irritation caused by the infection. I’m actually worse off today than yesterday, because there’s more meds in my system that’re slowing me down. But, I figure, a good night’s sleep might help...I certainly hope so =_=

In other news, I finally got to see Troy. I had loaded Lacey my Lord of the Rings trilogy, and when I mentioned that I hadn’t seen Troy, she brought it for me to borrow. I can safely say that this is the worst love story I’ve ever heard. The movie as a whole is awesome, make no mistake of that. I do like how they try to put a bit of common sense into it. Showing reality instead of myth...though I am somewhat partial to the myth...but it’s one of these “The Pointlessness of War” movies about how you take my wife, I kill you, your brother kills my people, I kill your people, You kill me, You fall in love with my cousin, who kills your king, and then my brother kills you, and your brother cremates you at the end. Anyone seeing a cycle besides me? I understand the whole “Vicious Cycle” thing...but the only way this could’ve gotten more circular is if Achilles brother killed Paris and then Helen went and killed his wife and he killed Helen...I probably hated it more because they really romanticized Achilles, and I’ve always loved Achilles /long sigh. Honestly. I’m such a sap. I've never really liked Paris (too much of a sissy-boy), but I don't think I've ever hated Orlando Bloom this much...oh well. It'll pass.

Oh, speaking of Mythology, I did a random search on Achilles (Lacey wasn’t sure what his background story was, so I told her I thought his mom was afraid her son would die and dipped him in the river Styx save his heel which was his only weak point, but I couldn’t remember if I was remembering it right, so I searched it), and found Encyclopedia Mythica. Very handy site there. This may help me with my early question about Celtic Mythology. You never hear about Celtic mythology...it’s always Greek and Roman. Pitty that...

Oh well. I’m starting to ramble and...droop here. So I’m going to bed...or something. ‘Night =_=
