Emerging Arts ® is pleased to that announce MediaMix, its Spring Exhibition, will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the Altman Building. The exhibition will feature the work of over thirty emerging artists. artsy, the magazine dedicated to emerging female artists and writers, will show ten artists as well as present a bikini fashion show by Curliegirl.
Clay McLeod Chapman, author of the recently published novel Miss Corpus (Hyperion, February 2003) and playwright of Redbird, currently running at The Culture Project, will perform an excerpt of his long-running off-off-Broadway sensation “The Pumpkin Pie Show” with Hannah Cheek in the main performance space.
This event will also feature the Blue Button Project, a collaborative effort between artist Nancy Hwang and activist James Wagner to “provide a symbolic medium for those who have serious questions about the war on Iraq and demand a more engaged dialogue about the war on terror.”
