Been Quiltin'

Actually, mostly cutting fabric FOR quilts, but I actually DID make two more blocks for the GaFilk / Interfilk quilt for 2017. There are now twelve blocks ready to start stitching-together, and I know what I'm going to do for the label.

For the local quilt guild's February meeting, I have cut 26 strips of purple fabric, each 2.5" wide x 45" [the width of a typical fabric used in quilting] for a strip-swap. And I didn't have to buy any new fabric, either! [[I *did* have to splice a few of the fabrics, though, to get the necessary length.]]

I have also cut out out the fabric [more strips at 2.5" x 45"...] and done some of the pre-piecing for a quilt block that will be taught in a class at the meeting. I am making only enough of the blocks to do a table runner.

And finally, I have most of the cutting-out done for a wall-hanging quilt that will be a gift.

Let the stitching begin!
