more about the concert
so first curtis and i went to the hanes mall in winston-salem to eat because there's a maggie moo's there and we wanted that for dessert. the mall was really weird in that there was a JC Penney's in the middle of the mall. like you had to walk through the JC Penney's to get the rest of the mall. and at the end you had to walk into the department store to go downstairs, there weren't stairs right outside of it.
then we went to ziggy's. which is in exactly the same area that curtis and i were the last time we went to winston-salem. it was a pretty cool little venue and apparently anna was there last year...with gavin degraw! so the opener was pretty cool, his name was elliot morris (i think). there was what we think was a "local" couple who were all excited about the opener guy and yelling "hell yeah!" all the time.
then anna came out and she started with my favorite song (paper bag). she talked in between some of her songs and she was funny. at one point a guy in the audience yelled, "i love you anna!" and then put his arm out with his fist towards her. she said, "i love you anna and i'm superman?" but she said her favorite superhero is batman. so later she was talking about how she hated paris hilton (apparently she's trying to sing now?). and this guy behind me was all like "i love paris hilton!" and anna said, "yea i know you love her video, i'm talking about her music." and then the guy was like "what the hell are you talking about?" and then the drunk girl next to me wanted to fight him but he walked away. so this drunk girl...she knew all the words and she sang off-key the whole time and gyrated around and clapped off beat. well then she decided that she wanted to get closer. so she pushes me away and pushes the people in front of me and stands right in front of them dancing and singing. and they are like wtf? so then at the end of the song she goes away and the two guys in front of me talk about how they are going to stand closer together and not let the girl through next time. so a few more songs and she tries again. and they don't let her. so she gets pissed off and goes and pushes in front of someone else. so on her way back through the crowd she nearly ran me over as she goes and ELBOWS THE GUY IN FRONT OF ME IN THE SHOULDER. what a frickin' bitch. then she proceeds to stand next to us and talk shit about the guys in front of me. whatever.
so the show was great and i forgot to bring my cd book so i bought a poster and got her to sign it.
nothing interesting happened to me on saturday.
after work tonight curtis and i watched 50 first dates. i dont know why i hadn't seen that movie sooner...it was really cute.
