alrighty here's my lj entry i promised:
so last weekend curtis and i checked out the arts and antiques festival in downtown greensboro. it was pretty cool. unfortunately, party city had scheduled me three hours early so we didnt have enough time to check everything out. we made sure to stop by all the tables that were out on the sidewalk and check out the one parking lot of outside vendors. i got an awesome vase for chere for mother's day...yes i realize it was after mother's day but i sent her a card and said i would bring the gift with me when i visit (speaking of visit...in four days i'll be in baltimore!). it's brown and it was made right in downtown greensboro and there's one seashell pattern on one side. i dont know if i mentioned that i got my mom a cute suncatcher when curtis and i checked out other local shops on state street.
then on sunday we just slept in until i went to work. and speaking of party city, i got a 25 cent raise...the boss tried to get me 50 cents but the powers that be said no. i'm trying to think if anything else interesting happened to me this week.
bought a few wedding presents (for three weddings, and there are more to come this summer). bought some new running shoes. curtis and i bought tennis rackets and last night we attempted to play. and curtis lost one of our cool "screamer" tennis balls. i think that's about it.
cept for x-men last night of course. the action and the special effects were awesome...but there were a few spots in the storyline where i was like, "what!!??" not like i was confused but because i couldnt believe that they did that...there was one spot in particular but i won't ruin it for everyone.
tonight we went to a revolutions game and we kicked butt. 59 to 35.
