christmas according to me

Dec 31, 2005 08:23

so consider this to be the companion piece to littledrummrboy's Christmas entry.

but first thing is that lately i've realized that i like Maria Mena's music so much because it sounds like something i could have written. it reminds me of the bad poetry i used to write...i dont know if that's a compliment or not.

so i have to start my christmas entry way back at my birthday because that's the last time that i actually updated, and it wasn't even a real update.

so curtis and i went to laddie's and dukes and had our typical meal of appetizer pizza and a bowl of she crab soup. then we went and saw harry potter and the goblet of fire. it was fricking awesome! it totally made up for the suckiness of the last movie.

so then fast forward to friday. we left here around 4:30pm and got to Claymont, DE around midnight-ish. we chatted for a bit and then headed to bed. we got up in the morning and had breakfast and then curtis' dad drove us around a bit to show us the area. then curtis and i headed to the brandywine town center because he wanted to check it out. we decided to look in petsmart for some glow in the dark fish rocks or whatever. well we ended up with a fish. he's absolutely gorgeous. sky blue...i swear he glows or is metallic or something he's so bright and shiny. so he hung out in a little cup for a few days until we got him home. we bought a tank with a partition in the middle so the betas don't eat each other.

then we went down to the riverfront and walked around for a bit. then back to curtis' house for dinner and presents and what not. after that we caught up with a few of curtis' friends (EC, Dion, Liz). now i wasn't even thinking about mentioning curtis' horrible performance at burnout but since he brought it up... so for those of you who don't know...part of the point of burnout is to crash and cause as much monetary damage as possible. there's a certain amount of money damage that you have to cause to get a gold medal and unlock other events. curtis never did get himself a gold medal, and all the rest of us did, :-P. i hadn't met EC before so that was cool. we headed for MD in the morning.

we stopped at epogurl's dad's house to drop off her christmas present. we got to my area early so we went to my house instead of meeting at the church. so then we went to church, and i'm not going to go into everything that i start contemplating every time i end up at church. then we went home and exchanged gifts with dad, chere, christopher, benjamin, deirdre, and g.g. then uncle david and aunt nancy came over and we exchanged gifts with them. then we had christmas dinner.

then we headed over to my aunt's house, she wasn't there though (my grandmom was staying there). so we celebrated with grandmom and mom. then we played rummikub for a while.

then we went to mrs. catherine's house (the older lady that my mom takes care of, she takes care of the old folks and i take care of the young folks). one more exchanging time and then it was off to bed.

we got up in the morning, played a little bit of rummikub and then headed out. we were supposed to catch up with tim but that never happened (surprise, surprise).

(that was certainly the reader's digest version)
