any lord of the rings fans?

i just recently watched the trilogy again and i have two questions:

what happened to the dwarves? is Gimli the last dwarf alive? i know that the ones that lived under the mountain were slaughtered but are there any more?

and

why does Sam call Frodo "Mr. Frodo"?
