and now for vital information with lori beth dinberg

well more like useless information with megan elizabeth smell...

why the hell does it cost upwards of 9 dollars to ship a stapler!?

so let's see...

i charged 42 cents today. but granted it wasn't my idea. i had bought some halloween window clings at michael's on monday and they didnt ring up on sale. now it was only a dollar difference but i had to go there today and get some different sized sewing needles so i decided to get it fixed. the lady had me charge the difference just to keep everything with the same original payment method.

then i went to quiznos and got a free sub (i chose meatball) courtesy of the special edition of Office Space (with Flair!) that i bought yesterday. the previous stapler comment is because i was looking for milton's red stapler on ebay and the shipping was crazy. i looked online at swingline first because the movie came with a $5 mail-in rebate for that particular stapler but it was $31.80! and the funny thing is that there was no such thing as a red swingline stapler until after the movie when they had to make one because of the movie's cult status.

i had to stop and eat my toasty meatball sub while it was still warm

so let me tell you about how at work yesterday they had me putting out christmas stuff. yea, you heard me. granted it was only whatever they had left that they didnt sell last year, which meant a few santa suits and some ugly patterns of plates, most of which didnt go out because they were discontinued. and let me also tell you about how many different kinds of santa suits we sell. they start at your basic flannel for $29.99 and go all the way up to the "old-fashioned" santa with a long hooded coat for $299.99 and everything in between.

nothing else really...i've got a few shifts set up at the RTC which is good but i still dont feel like this is working out well for me. i think that if i dont get a better schedule by january i might have to find another job...maybe not give up on youth focus entirely but hopefully find something else that will give me more hours and then i can work at youth focus once they get their act together. so i have three shifts set up and hopefully i'll get two more set up (they are third shifts (11 pm - 7 am)) so we'll see how that goes.

now back to watching sin city (which i also purchased yesterday). then probably more sonic!

p.s. i got a postcard from jamie (americorps TL) today. i had been planning on sending out another round of postcards from greensboro but i havent gotten any yet. jamie's homemade postcard has inspired me to just make them.

:-)

party city, movies, free stuff
