trying to change the world, one service project at a time

so yes, i've committed myself to more community service after americorps but it's only a week this time so i think it'll be okay. i've agreed to go on a missions trip with my church after americorps. it's the first week in august and we're going back to kentucky to work with the henderson settlement. we don't know what kind of work we'll be doing just yet. but one man at church was practically begging me to go because apparently they don't have any "female leaders" and i would fill that quota or whatever.

and also in this same conversation with my dad the topic of my moving in with curtis was approached. this time it went over better in that he didnt lecture me about changing my mind. but he's still not accepting it because he told me that "things change" and we'll have to see what's going on once americorps is over. i mentioned the possibility of marriage but he didnt really have any response to that.

that's about it. it's beautiful here so i sat outside for a bit.

i've been reading the book about the woman with multiple personalities and i'm about a third of the way through and i counted 21 different personalities. i actually had to stop today and write down the names so that i can keep them straight.

the end.

henderson, community service, kentucky, books, family
