so no hurricane here. though it would have been cool for the trees to blow around a bit or something. which means that the mall was closed for nothing and i could have worked tonight. grr.

so the other day i made lemon bars from a recipe in a mystery book that i read. that's right. there were recipes in a book that i read, it was called the chocolate chip cookie mystery and the main character owned a cookie shop. so there were a few recipes for cookies. well i made sure that i had all the ingredients...but i didnt read the instructions properly. so when i set out to make them the other morning and realized that i was sposed to mix up some stuff in a food processor for the crust i thought i might have to give up. but i just mixed up the stuff myself and they turned out pretty good actually.

so yesterday the big manager made us duct tape the windows at famous footwear. so they sent me to sears to buy some. i went to leave and the manager was like, "you know what duct tape is right, the gray.." yes i know. then i told him that i couldnt believe that he just assumed that i didnt know what duct tape was. his response, "well, you're a woman."

so the hurricane ripped through port charlotte. i hope that the habitat houses are still standing...
