finally the internet is back!
so it seemed to have been the modem that was being stupid again. the compusa mac person called today and told me that there wasn't anything wrong with the network card in the computer. he said that we should trade in the modem (again) and try and get a different brand of modem. so we did, and now it works.
so i've been doing nothing lately except for watching lots of VH1 and MTV and early 90s TV shows. it's really sad that I actually remember some of the episodes of Boy Meets World, Family Matters, Home Improvement, Full House, and Roseanne, and i'm sure i'm forgetting some. and i think that VH1 should change it's name to "The List Channel" because all they have are shows with lists in them. they never ever ever play anymore music videos. and apparently MTV has only six or eight videos to play and they play them in the exact same order every time.
but on saturday, curtis and i went to the beach. and it was awesome. the water was so warm, i just wanted to float there forever. and the sand was light colored so it wasn't all hot. it was great.
so i'm starting at Famous Footwear at the mall tomorrow. and i might be working at Earthbound Trading Company (incense, cool lamps, anti-bush stuff, etc.) as well. i had an interview there today and they are going to have a second interview set up as soon as the manager gets back.
so that's about it. it's hot here. really really hot. and it storms a lot at night. that's fun.
