I didn't realize, nor was I informed, that the marathon today would take over All Of DT Richmond. I'm still here. I missed my 7am flight because the roads around my hotel were barricaded and once my taxi was able to get through, we were stuck in more traffic getting out. Cabbie tells me he's never seen anything like it.
So I'm sitting at the airport using free wireless for the next few hours.
I miss my sweet girls and my hubs.
I was given a job lead yesterday. I'm not looking for a job. But, I know this particular OEM company would pay huge dollars compared to my current.
Cons:
Must relocate the mid Atlantic states
Would travel a lot more than my current 4-5 times a year.
Would have to jump whole hog into the competitive life, instead of current fly under the radar/laid back/accidental salesperson POV.
Pros:
More money
More professional validation
Hubs has the skilz needed to pursue employment in some areas of the mid Atlantic, specifically Research Triangle Park.
Pro-con
Extended family would likely visit more often than they currently do. Friends who relocated tell me a plane trip is easier and more enticing than a two hour car drive.
Right now, I don't want to travel any more without non work companions.
