Must not be following current events to the south
Just got off the phone with a customer from Quebec who wanted me to revise a quote. He had to cut module X Y & Z for now because, as he put it, "I don't need them or to be more accurate, we can't afford them."
The good news is that he can add these modules on down the line as his budget opens up. Salespeople are the ultimate optimists when they need to be, yanno.
After that was all squared away, he asked if I could further "throw any additional discounting to us 'poor Canadians.'" (????!!!!!) Granted, I've learned in this industry that socialized medicine is a ugly and insidious beast to those (like my customers) who vaule and even demand precison-based/outcome-oriented treatment plans, but still...700 billion of essentially unsecured debt going on down here, man!
