This was a fun meme! Yes!

In our house I do all the laundry. I have laundry issues.

We see his family more, I'd say.

I have the worse temper.

I think he said he loved me first. It was a declaration of love, a marriage proposal, and a request for a date all in one. We had been friends (not dating or kissing or anything) for a while and one night on the phone he said: He wasn't going to date someone he didn't love; that the next person he dated would be his wife; that he loved me; that he wanted me to be his girlfriend; and would I go on a date with him? It was hilarious.

I do most of the cooking but HOLY SHIT the stuff he cooks... yeah, he's not the cook. It's better this way, honest.

I still remember when he started cheerily doing laundry. It was when we switched from coin op rental apartment laundry to home ownership. When the kids came along, I developed a few issues with him doing laundry. It took some diplomacy to bring home the point that PRE TREATING is necessary in order to not break the clothing budget.
Also, his meals typically consist of variations on hamburger...eg: sloppy joes last night. Some box food which I'm sure would make your completely from scratch natural meals self cringe. A mom I know also suggested "cereal night" which we sometimes do also. The homemade meals at our house are reserved for that F-Su slot, or, when I'm organized, freezer stash meals prepared on the weekend. ;) He gets home from work an hour before I do so...he's reluctantly on meal duty during the week.

I still have control issues about the whole thing sometimes.

That is a great story about your proposal/first date combo! Very sweetly direct of him!
